The bull’s actual wean weight on 10-7-21 was 752. 3 bulls were at 830 -900lbs off the cow in the hills of Northeast Iowa.

Bulls now are averaging around 1100lbs at not even 11 months. We started calving Feb 20th 2021. They are currently getting 11lbs ground grass hay, 2lbs distiller brewer waste, 2lbs corn syrup, 14lbs earlage, 4lbs corn sileage. The bulls are never creep fed and managed for them to be lean. We do this to ensure fertility, longevity and so we can see the animals genetic potential rather than feeding them through a "gain period" or overfeeding to make them look good. We have over 50 bulls 6+ years still working for our customers.
